Hi, I'm Nubia Natalie—most people call me Natalie.

I'm a business strategist, mentor, and educator with more than 20 years of experience in retail strategy, merchandising, and financial planning. I've helped global brands—including The Walt Disney Company and VF Corporation—grow revenue, improve margins, and operate more efficiently.

As a college professor, I mentor the next generation of fashion and retail professionals. I'm also the founder of Nubia Natalie, an activewear brand rooted in design, culture, and purpose-driven storytelling.

    Dear Professor Arribeno,I hope you are having a great winter break. I just wanted to reach out and thank you for a wonderful semester as a student from your Introductory Textiles class. I was very excited to be taking this class, and I got a lot out of it. I appreciate your dedication to making the class non-stressful, yet still educational and interesting. Textiles weren't something I was knowledgeable of before taking this class, but I am now equipped with a lot of understanding that I will not only use in academics, but already have begun applying to my daily life. The research project and the denim project in particular were two assignments I felt were both fun and great learning experiences. I also enjoyed getting to learn about more eco-friendly and sustainable textiles as someone who cares about the environment. Thank you for allowing me to make the most out of my first semester of college.
